Freight Update #3 and Our Time at Gen Con

Hello Trolls,
We hope that this update finds you well! Some new information about the freight for Fall of the Mountain King. It seems this phase is flowing like molasses; it is so slow. But we continue to update you with the newest information as we have it.
Freight Updates
Australia and New Zealand
Estimated Arrival in Australia:18 August
Estimated Delivery to Aetherworks: 22nd or 25th of August
We will let you know when your games begin shipping.
China and RoW
Your games are at VFI as we speak. We have already submitted the backer report. They should begin fulfilment soon. I will keep you updated.
United Kingdom
Your games were picked up and on course for the UK on August 9th. The estimated date of arrival at port is August 31st. The games often sit at the port for some time before they head to the GamesQuest warehouse. We'll keep you updated.
USA and Canada
Your games are at sea! They are scheduled to land in Savannah, Georgia on September 2nd. There will be at least another week before the shipment hits PSI for fulfilment. As always, we are going to get the Canadian shipment out to our fulfilment partner first. Then PSI will begin shipping games to our US backers. They will have all of the info they need to get the process moving immediately after the games get to the warehouse. We will keep you updated.
Europe is pending at the moment. I know that the games have at least been picked up. I will let you know where they are and when they will land as soon as I can.
Fall of the Mountain King at Gen Con
While you know that we sent a few retail games to help us pay for the booth and for marketing purposes, we're sure glad we did. Fall fo the Mountain King got a lot of really awesome attention, and of course sold out in just a couple of days. Not only that, we've been getting some really incredible feedback from people who have already played. To those backers who stopped by to see the game and to say hi ... thank you so much. You all make this journey worth while.

This is a quick one today...
Of course, games are all packed and waiting to go, and time has passed and the games (most of them, at least) are still not on boats. I have information about only 1 region.
Australia and New Zealand

All other regions are pending at the moment. I will be in touch over the next week or so to give you some dates for the rest of the world. They are moving, but dates are not yet available.

The Time Has Come: Freight Update #1

Hello Trolls!
We have a final completion date!! I received an email from my manufacturer telling me that Fall (and Hall) of the Mountain King will FINALLY be ready next week. Right now I'm sorting through the number of games to send to each region. This is an important step to making sure we have our ducks in a row for freight. I have also engaged my freight companies; they are waiting for me to give them that final information.
What Now?
If you have not completed your address changes, now is the time to do that. Once the games have reached their regions, address changes will not be possible. Because addresses are locked, you will have to get us to do it on the back end. Please send an email to [email protected] with your Kickstarter email address, your old mailing address and your new mailing address. Each of the following must be part of that address: first name and last name, street number and street name, province or state, postal code or zip code, country, and phone number. This makes for a smooth and easy exchange between us and you. Please note that if you are changing your country, an extra charge may apply to ship the game to a different region than you paid for.
Thankfully prices for ocean/air freight are coming down. However, wait times continue to mess with the flow of the supply chain. We are working diligently to ensure that your games will arrive at your home in a timely manner.
Timelines
If all goes as planned we will have your games on ships within the next two to three weeks. Again, wait times to get containers onto ships are very long. If they get on their ships within this timeframe, they should all arrive by the beginning to the middle of August. Once there, they will head directly to their fulfilment houses and will be promptly shipped to you. Of course, there are always bumps in the road and these timelines are fragile. I have no doubt that even with the best of intentions and a great deal of organization, things will change. We wanted to put that out there so that you understand the road ahead.
Moving Forward
We had expected Fall of the Mountain King to be delivered to you by April of this year. Unfortunately, you know that is not the case, and in fact, the games are now months late, due to shutdowns in Ningbo and the freight issues. We take responsibility for this. We wanted a 10 month window, and it turns out we should have made it a year. Since our plan was to have our games delivered to you a while ago, we are in a strange spot. Fall of the Mountain King was supposed to make its retail debut at Gen Con in Indianapolis during the first week in August. Debuting a new game is important to a small publisher such as ourselves, to help keep us afloat and to have presence at a convention where we run many games in the gaming hall. So, we are asking for your understanding that it is critical to our company's survival that we air-freight a very limited number of the retail version only to sell at this convention. We promise that you will not see any versions on the shelves of stores until your games are in your hands (minus a few here and there while we deal with shipping errors due to incomplete and incorrect addresses). We bring this up so that there are no surprises, and to continue with our promise for full disclosure on this process.
Where We Go From Here
We will update you again when we have games moving to their various regions. This means that once the games are on ships, we will let you know. We'll also let you know how long it will take to get to their various regions and their ships' approximate berthing dates.
We are very excited to be at this stage and hope that you share in our excitement!!

We Have a Completion Date

Hello Trolls!
You read that right! We have a completion date from our manufacturer. They have told us that June 18th is the date. While we know that this date is still subject to change, at least we have a date.
What The Plan Is, From Here
Next week, Tuesday, May 24th at 7pm EST, we are going to lock addresses. This will help us get the data we need to swiftly move games from China to your region of the world. If you have not completed your BackerKit survey, now is the time. You can find it here. Please keep in mind that if you do not compete your survey, you run the risk of not receiving your game. We don't want that to happen. So please do this in a timely manner.

This Month's Update

Hello Trolls,
There is not much to report this month, but we do have some info on timing. It seems that the factories in China have been opening and closing because of covid. Unfortunately this has affected our timelines. Between getting everything inline for printing and ironing out small issues here and there, we are definitely behind schedule. Our goal is to begin fulfilment in July at this point. But again anything can happen. Our initial goal of May 2022 is obviously not going to happen. We are crossing our fingers that we'll have no more than this 2 month delay (we've added some padding for freight delays).
